March Madness!

And I don't mean basketball!  Don't get me wrong, I enjoy me some NCAA basketball - but this madness is my life!!!

I have actually had a really great month.  It started with taking my 5 year old Zoe to the Maroon 5 concert, along with my aunt Jeanne.  It was the best night!  Too many details for a recap entry, I think I will do a whole entry about it, cause it is pretty amazing.
This picture may help explain a little bit - this pic was taken of Adam Levine with my iPhone - no zoom was used!
We started the evening out in Section 219 - and started the Maroon 5 portion of the concert in the FRONT ROW!  A crew member from Maroon 5 spotted Zoe on the concourse as we were headed to the bathroom and offered us front row seats, because "she is way too adorable to be sitting this far away!".  Amazing.  And she is pretty darn cute! So, her first concert and she gets upgraded to front row - so close to her boyfriend, she was in awe!

We had a great time and she still talks about the concert EVERY SINGLE DAY!  It's going to be a tough act to follow!

At the start of March I started a DietBet - not sure if you have heard of these.  You sign up, bet $20 and then you have 28 days to lose 4% of your body weight.  If you do it, you get your $20 back, if not, see you later $20.  My friend Jen sponsored the DietBet so I had to do it - we are work out buddies too - so it was great motivation to meet Jen at the gym at 5:30AM (let's face it, I need the motivation!).  The DietBet wraps up this week - I am very close to getting to the 4% goal - but, even if I don't make it, it's a step in the right direction.

Since the last time I blogged I am down almost 10 pounds.  I have been working on my nutrition, getting to the gym as often as I can (just completed a 5 day streak) and just keeping my eye on the prize.  The prize being getting back down to my goal weight and being able to wear all of my spring/summer clothes from last year - I refuse to have to go buy new clothes again!!!  They will fit and I will feel great!

My hips are feeling pretty good also.  My right hip that got the injection is virtually pain free all of the time - a little IT Band issues, but that's not new.  My left hip was really sore for a bit but a couple of visits to Super Pete (my PT) and that's feeling great too.  He gave me some exercises to help strengthen my glutes and I really think they are helping!  I am looking forward to Spring arriving so I can get out there and hit the pavement running!

Day to day is my mantra lately.  I still have a lot of stressors in my life - who doesn't - and I am learning to manage them and not let them knock me down.  I have been down this road before and I will get back to my happy place!

Be happy and healthy friends!
